THE SECOND PROTOTYPE OF AGE OF DOGFIGHTS WW1 GAME AND TRIAL SERIES

After several games on the first prototype, we introduced a number of enhancements and refinements into Age of Dogfights WW1.

The board consists of three two-part segments that have been completely redesigned. We have adopted the suggestion of Mr. Richard Martin (editor of the Armchair General magazine) that there the game title should be in the plural, hence Age of Dogfights WW1. We also adopted some suggestions from our German friend and associate Till Meyer regarding beginner pilots and long bursts when shooting. Instead of at 3, planes now fly and fight at 5 altitude levels, and the firing rules have been further refined. The stands, tilt compensators, and pieces are all made on 3D printers and are very practical to use. Also, clouds were introduced. A new tool for damage markers has been created, which is adapted to the shape of the piece and does not fall off even when the piece is tilted (the plane drops a level or climbs).

Together with the second prototype, the first trial series (6 copies) was made. We sent copies to 4 countries on 3 continents and we are expecting first reactions to the game soon. Also, Airco DH.2 was introduced in the Trial series instead of the Sopwith Triplane aircraft.
